How long does lip blushing last?

Lip blushing can last a few years depending on how you take care of it and the quality of aftercare products used. At Brows Boutique we’ll show you how to take care of your lips so they last longer with fewer touch-ups.

Does the process hurt?

The application process only takes around 45 minutes and is relatively painless since it involves a numbing agent to reduce any discomfort.

Can I still wear lipstick afterward?

Yes, you can still wear lipstick over the lip blushing after your lips have healed. Our goal with lip blush is to give you a natural-looking lip, so wearing any other color of lipstick will sit well on your lips.

What are some tips for caring for my lip blushing?

You should always cleanse your lips before bed with an oil-free cleanser and use a lip balm that is free from petroleum or beeswax for hydration. Additionally, minimizing sun exposure will also help ensure that your lip blush lasts longer!

Can Lip Blushing Be Done On Anyone/ Everyone?

Lip blushing may not be the right choice for everyone. Before booking an appointment, please read the contraindications carefully. If any of the following apply to you, this procedure is not recommended:

You have previous cosmetic tattooing – sending an email with a picture or booking a 15-minute consultation before committing to the appointment is recommended
You are a smoker – pigment may not retain properly, and colors may distort
You have a history of MRSA
You have psoriasis in the treatment area
You have an auto-immune disease
You have thyroid/graves disease (medication may cause pigment to not retain properly)
You have anemia (pigment may not retain properly)
You have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
You are currently undergoing chemotherapy
You are pregnant or nursing (you cannot book this service – no exceptions)
You have Diabetes type 1 or 2 (due to slow healing and infection, color may or may not retain well).

If you are under a doctor’s care and need to check your eligibility for lip blushing, it is your responsibility to meet with your doctor and get written approval. Additionally, if you are prone to cold sores, read the instructions below on how to proceed.

Nevertheless, you can still have the procedure done – we just want to ensure you get the best possible results!

Should you have any additional questions, we suggest consulting with your doctor. If an outbreak or any other type of scratch/acne should occur, please reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.
